Make up is allowed in all ages 9 and up, so tasteful and age appropriate makeup to enhance your beauty on stage is welcome, the reason why it is allowed is because of the stage lighting.  Your daughter may look washed out on stage, so makeup needs to be very age appropriate, we don't want a 9 year old looking like she is 15 years old.

One parent or chaperone is allowed backstage to assist your daughter getting dressed and doing hair and makeup.  There will be no sibling backstage unless they are competing.  Wrist bands will be given to all parents and chaperones, if you do not have a wrist band on you will be asked to leave.  Parents should make accommodations for siblings, this is an enforced rule and can result in a disqualification of your contestant.

Hair should be nice and dressy as you would wear for a special occasion. "Flippers" which are fake teeth are NOT allowed, if you have missing teeth or braces, you will NOT be marked down for it, this is a natural part of childhood so the judges do expect to see missing teeth and braces on some of our beautiful contestants!
